Default No shame

Today I was watching tv and I saw a preview that I saw comming for about five years. United 93.... what is the problem with hollywood making movies about trageties. First they make Titanic, then Perl Harbor. Now about an event in American history that showed our Vulnerability and I just feel horrible about the lack of shame the producers have. Now I love movies but this is just to much. I hope im not the only one who feels this way.

you arent. take a look in the Upcoming Movie's thread, there's a thread in there about the movie on the first or second page.

if you cant find this thread later, one of the mod's will probably relocate this over to that thread actually, so take a peek when you get the time. welcome to the boards too.

Yeah but thats their whole goal, to cash in on peoples raw emotions about the day while it's still fresh on peoples minds. Not that I approve of it or am going to see it but they want to lure people in by making it a heroic story when it really was a tragedy.

I've gonna have to disagree with you on your police work there, Maddy. The rest of the day was a ginormous tragedy, but what those folks on that airplane did was the definition of heroic.

That said, I still think that this movie is making cheap, popular entertainment out of that heroic stand, so I have no interest in it at all.
