I've got some free passes that are about to expire and Ring 2 is the best thing playing at that particular theater, so I'm seeing it this afternoon. Not expecting too much, though, given what I've read above.

first ring was definetly pants, and nowhere near as good as the japanese original which was quite scary, is the japanese sequel worth a watch?, got very little faith in teh american sequel,

This movie was so disappointing, compared to the first its codswallop. I like Naomi Watts but i'm afraid that didn't give this film any pointers in my mind. Sissy Spacek's role in the film was a disappointment as well, I think they could have really explored her character and developed an interesting storyline around her but they didn't. It lacked the originality of the first. It didn't have the creepy urban legend as its base which was so integral to the first film. I'll give it 4/10. See the first film and forget there even was a sequel.

Yes, i enjoyed the first one too. This one was just fluff. Nothing to add. Lame. Listen to me now. Heed my words, heed them carefully.

Maybe if she did the movie would be better lol There was nothing particularly special about the Ring 2 in my opinion. What bothered me was in the first one we seemed to have everything solved and then she still comes back, I hate when a movie is resolved and then to make more money they open it up again. You think its one thing and then it's like no its this its just stupid.

Thank you misty, as we can both agree the first one was good but the second sucked eggs. Actually, the first one wasn't resolved. It continued on because of them remember? They could have moved the story in that direction instead of the way it ended up going.

When I say it was resolved I mean we know now how to survive, if you want to live copy the tape, give it to someone else and we thuoght she wouldn't come back again..but she did..which to me completely belittles the point of making a copy of the tape if she's still going to come back anyways and therefore the problem i had with the sequel.
