This movie is about the plane that was taken over by the Al qaida and then retaken over by the passengers only to crash to the ground...

i was just wondering what your thoughts are of turning this into a movie. I personally don't think an event like this should have been made into a movie. The event is still to fresh in all our minds and i think this is exploitation. Of course im sure i will see it eventually

I gather people are booing, leaving the cinemas either in disgust or because they are too upset when the trailer is being shown in New York.

Can't blame them, really.

yeah i can see doing it maybe 10 or 15 years after the fact....but sh*t not even 5 years ago? I remember that day like it was yesterday. And if i thought this....i'd love to know how New Yorkers feel about it. It doesn't surprise me that it was booed....

I saw this trailer before Inside Man the other day. It left me queasy, as if it was exploitative and wrapped in the flag. I think it's too soon.

This film looks like it will be awful. I mean with the ending that it has to have, I just can't see how this film will work as a likeable and enjoyable thing to go see.

You know Hollywood..never let the truth get in the way of a good story! They'll probably have the plane land safely and all the passengers live...

I saw the preview for this last night and was appalled. I think it was one thing to do Flight 93 and put it on TV...it was true to the actual happenings and wasn't made for profit...but this...oh man...it will not do good in theaters at all. This is something that, were it me, I wouldn't even attempt to do for at least 20 years after the fact.

This was already touched on here , but . . .

I don't like to judge movies without seeing them, but . . . I can't think of any reason I would ever watch this.

It could also be pointed out that very little is known about what actually happened on the plane itself, so despite the fact that it is "based on--or perhaps inspired by--a true story," there's going to be a look of fictionalization involved.
